Assistant Director, understudy and sketch-bomber
While reading English Literature at Warwick University Rebecca played numerous roles, including “far too many children”. Since uni she has thrown herself into a maelstrom of creative enterprises, including the Les Enfants Terribles immersive and site-specific production of Alice’s Adventures Underground.
The seven shows a week intense schedule was terrifying but incredibly inspiring, and surviving it led to a plethora of work with Plays Rough at Camden People’s Theatre (Rad Beyond Ted), the Hidden Theatre Company (The Bed), Theatre 503 (Incriminating Objects), Omnibus (Beyond the Blue), and Shook Up Shakespeare, alongside some short film work (including Raven Productions). She is also continuing to train with the Actors Class and the National Youth Theatre. While primarily an actor, she is also a director and casting director, in which roles she had an eye-opening and fruitful internship at the Finborough Theatre.
While working as Richard’s Assistant Director and Stage Manager she is also understudying the female roles; and is delighted that she will have the odd chance to “sketch-bomb”: jumping in on a couple of seemingly random occasions to take on one of Bella’s or Sophia’s delicious characters.
