Jason is fresh out of university (Leeds), graduating in July with a BA in English. Since his early teens he has been involved with youth and fringe theatre, as well as working professionally on screen. He had guest appearances in ‘Casualty’ and ‘Doctors’ (both BBC), and ‘Little Crackers’ (Sky).
He won an award for best male actor at the Alcalá de Henares Short Film Festival in 2013. Shows he was in at uni included Waiting at the Bus Stop, A Clockwork Orange, The Great Gatsby, Posh and Jerusalem – as well as a comedy double-act with Jack. In his final year he directed an adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting.
Here he is dozy Dave, relaxed on his hols on the beach in Mexico, drifting off into his Margarita Dreams… which soon turn strange on him – and everyone else in them. Before he knows it he is paranoid news reader Guy; and baffled husband Lionel; and dim Ollie; and self-assured Andy, who is determined to give Brad Pitt at least half his trousers back. And finally, Godfrey: long-time member of the Shy People’s Encounter Group, who it seems is at last about to come out of his shell…
